Family Fun with Flatbreads & Fire

Sat 21st March @9amSat 21st March @9am

Join us at Ground Up Cookery School to create tasty and nutritious flatbreads, dips and toppings using a range of seasonal and local ingredients. This course is designed to encourage families to cook and eat together in a fun and engaging way. The recipes are quick, easy and fun to make with no fancy equipment required! Children are welcome to attend at a reduced rate.

Following refreshments and a quick overview of the day Colin will demonstrate three flatbread recipes, pitta, chapati and wholemeal flatbreads. We will also demonstrate several ways to cook these from grilling, dry frying, on a bbq or over a naked gas flame on a stove. You will then return to your cooking area and produce one of the three recipes and a dip or topping to complement the recipe. We will end the course around the table sharing our creations and sampling all the dishes you have cooked together.

Please note that this course will include cooking and eating outside weather permitting. Please bring a warm jumper or jacket just in case required. Adults are responsible for supervising their children, we want to encourage participation as much as possible but as safely as possible.

This would make the basis of an excellent bespoke course for large groups and team days. If you wish to discuss further please get in touch.
