A complex gin inspired by the hedgerows of rural Devon.
The wild sloe, bullace and damson are all foraged around Chudleigh and the surrounding Devon countryside, creating a layered expression of Britain’s native wild plums. The result is a beautifully deep jewel-toned gin with vibrant fruit character and a far less sweet finish than a traditional sloe gin.
On the nose the gin is intensely aromatic, with lifted notes of damson and dark hedgerow fruit. The palate is rich, smooth and rounded, delivering abundant autumn fruit while remaining beautifully balanced and never overly sweet.
Adding depth and intrigue is mugwort, one of Britain’s most distinctive native herbs. Its subtle musky character brings gentle herbal complexity and a delicate bitterness that complements the richness of the fruit and gives the gin a long, warming finish.
Serve neat over ice, lengthened with soda, or add a splash to prosecco or other sparkling wine. Garnish with a twist of orange or sliced plum.
Each bottle is uniquely labelled with batch details. Our spirits are made in small seasonal batches using foraged and local ingredients, meaning subtle variations in flavour and colour may occur between batches. A small amount of natural sediment from the fruit may remain, simply shake gently before serving.
All labels are printed on recycled paper and biodegradable film, the glass bottles are fully recyclable.
The attractive wax seal can be easily removed to reveal a resealable cork stopper or screwtop.
