A rich, indulgent twist on the traditional Christmas pudding, handmade in small batches at Ground Up Cookery School in Devon.
This deeply flavoured pudding combines figs, dates and apricots with dark cocoa and pieces of dark and white chocolate, creating a dense, luxurious pudding with layers of fruit, spice and chocolate. Warming notes of cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg add festive depth, while generous feeds of our Cherry, Chocolate & Hogweed Seed Dark Rum bring a rich boozy aroma and a lingering finish.
The result is a beautifully dark pudding with a classic dense texture, studded with fruit and chocolate, delivering a smooth, fruity richness balanced with warming spice and dark rum.
Our rum is produced at Ground Up Cookery School using locally foraged hogweed seed, prized for its naturally citrusy, cardamom-like flavour which perfectly complements the spices in the pudding.
All puddings are made by hand in very small batches. Many of our customers return year after year to make them part of their Christmas table.
A 1 pint pudding serves 4 to 6.
Ingredients: Guinness (barley, gluten), flour (wheat, gluten), sugar, figs, dates, butter (milk), apricots, dark chocolate (may contain milk, soya), white chocolate (may contain milk, soya), cocoa, Cherry, Chocolate & Hogweed Seed Dark Rum spirit drink, port (may contain sulphites), eggs, orange, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg
Fed with our Cherry, Chocolate & Hogweed Seed Dark Rum Spirit Drink.
Contains: eggs, dairy, gluten, soya and sulphites.
Steam for 60 minutes or microwave for 3 minutes. Serve with brandy butter, brandy sauce, clotted cream, ice cream or even chocolate custard.
