A wonderful fun informative evening

This needles and cones spotlight did not disappoint. It was on a lovely sunny day whi h made the dreamy location even more wonderful. I was greeted at the door by Colin who was very friendly and I met the other attendees and was offered a glass of wine to start the class off, i declined as i was driving but the sprice water and tea were super refreshing! The group was small which was great as you could ask as many questions as you wanted and see everything being demonstrated. The jars of ferments, preserves and concoctions were very inspiring, it was like a real treasure trove! The class itself was very informative and fun with lots of demonstrations, information and tastings too. I tried candied pinecones for the first time and the most incredible sherry vinegar!
The lemon posset was delicious and seeing the variety of savoury and sweet applications made me want to head straight to the woods and get picking spruce tips!
I will be looking out for the next spotlight series, such a great way to spend a Friday evening, learning about a new ingredient and being with passionate foodie people. Highly recommend.
Thank you.
